Sam is now at the vet, having his stupid gums and teeth dealt with. :cat_sigh:

Show thread

Three teeth (five down in total), ten days of antibiotics, and five on pain killers. Control on Friday. He will probably eventually end up toothless. :cat_sad:

And he needs a diet. He's eight kilos now. :cat_sigh:

At least he doesn't have FIV.

And now he's gone. He escaped his cage on the way back to the car after a control check-up at the vet. :cat_sad:

I hope I'll see him again.

Sam is finally home again! :cat_smile: Knew where he was for a long time, but he proved difficult to catch. In the end, some very nice people who live in the neighbourhood helped by feeding him, building trust, and in the end, catching him in a large cage.

My other cat, Sophie isn't much pleased.

@nulani Yeay!!!
I have to admit, the lack of good news for so long, had assumed the worst

@nulani This is great! I also get so sad when I see lost cat posters. I'm glad he made it back home.

@nulani Oh blessed day! I have been thinking of this ever since you posted, since our cat once ran away for a very long time. We got him back eventually, but he was very thin and rough looking, so hope everything is well.

@Zaziuma He has lost weight, but given that he was overweight, he's now pretty close to his ideal weight. A little bit scruffy from living rough for nearly three months, but he seems to be in good health and not much worse for wear.
